Hosted by Lorraine Mansbridge and Roman Soltykevych

Lorraine Mansbridge is an Edmonton broadcasting veteran. She first joined ITV (now Global Edmonton) back in August 1982.  For more than a decade, Lorraine produced and hosted “Good, Good Morning” and “Edmonton Live”. She then went on to anchor and produce on-location segments for Global’s  Morning News, introducing viewers to the people and places that make Edmonton special. Lorraine now travels extensively with her husband.  A devoted “gym rat”, she loves to work out and is a rabid lover of chocolate! She is delighted to be co-hosting Threads That Connect because in her next life she wants to come back as a full–fledged Ukrainian! She admires and loves your sense of family and community! Budmo!

Roman Soltykevych is a long-time performer within Alberta’s fine arts community as the piano accompanist for the Yavir Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton and as an alumnus of the Volya Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. Over the years, he has volunteered on the UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival organizing committee, the Plast Ukrainian Youth Association, the Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union, and as an election observer in Ukraine. Aviatsiya Halychyny
Aviatsiya Halychyny is a Ukrainian patriotic clothing brand for those who feel the wings behind their backs (or would like to…). They started creating clothes in 2015 inspired by the new Ukrainian army, especially by our new Air Forces. The army that we they had was restored because of the need to defend their borders becoming their new symbol of freedom.
Their label Aviatsiya Halychyny (transliteration of Galician aviation) appeared by creating a series of polo shirts about Ukrainian Air Forces. It was a successful launch so they developed the product range and marked all their clothes as Proudly Made in Ukraine. Join them because freedom is always in trend.
TU ES
TU ES originates from Lviv founded in 2020. From the very beginning, the fashion concept has been about combining art and clothing in one space, where every woman can choose not only clothes but also decorations for her home such as paintings and sculptures by famous Ukrainian artists.
TU ES is for women who love and appreciate high quality and prefer clothing that will last for years. Their collections mainly consist of classic models with a touch of originality. After all, they are inspired by art!
Novana Studio
Novana Studio was founded by Natalia Kholodylo in 2012. The following year, she showcased her collection for the spring-summer season at the international exhibition “Who’s Next” in Paris, France. In 2014, she presented her autumn-winter 2014/2015 collection at the National Art Club in New York City.
She is a regular participant in Lviv Fashion Week. Natalia’s journey through various international fashion events reflects her dedication to showcasing her unique designs on a global platform.
Olena Romanova
