Signature Artist Series

Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA) is a community art organization that facilitates and encourages a greater appreciation and awareness of the Ukrainian arts and their cultural significance to the greater Alberta community.  Through exhibitions, tours, festivals, educational programs, workshops, and special projects, ACUA promotes growth and provides support to Ukrainian arts and artists living in Alberta.  ACUA is located at Suite 100, 10554 110 Street in Edmonton, Alberta.

ACUA’s Signature Artist Series is a unique monthly artist exhibit dedicated to showcasing Alberta-based Ukrainian artists, artists working in Ukrainian mediums, or non-Ukrainian artists who collaborate with Ukrainian artists.  Art is displayed through a variety of mediums, telling stories of Ukrainian culture and experiences.  For each exhibition, ACUA hosts an opening reception, prepares publicity for participating artists, and invites the community to participate in this event.

ACUA has now closed submissions for performing artists to participate in the Signature Artist Series opening receptions.

ACUA welcomes any type of performing art including music, poetry reading, book excerpt reading, art technique demonstration, dance, etc.  Please submit photos or video of the work you would like to present during the opening reception, your biography or curriculum vitae.
