Samchykivka is an incredibly vibrant decorative style of folk art painting from the Podillian region. This traditional and unique art of Ukraine is done in the Samchyky Village, which is well known for this bright, colourful painting technique. Primarily yellow, blue, green, and red are used in this style. The most popular motifs are geometric leaves, flowers, berries, and birds. In this workshop, you will learn the main techniques for painting in the Samchykivka style, and you will create a decorative piece of folk art to bring home.
