Iryna Shkoropad

Iryna was born on February 6, 1979 in Lviv, Ukraine. She completed her secondary education at school №89 (Lviv), and then attained her degree in Ukrainian language, literature, and folklore at Lviv Ivan Franko National University. During and after her student years, Iryna was a very active and creative person, and participated in the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble and Student Association. Iryna is currently married, and has three sons.

Since her school years, she has been passionate about art. Iryna always liked to create interesting and original jewelry, write pysankas, embroider and crochet.

During her pregnancy, she reached her highest level of creativity, during which time learned about objects made out of felted wool. It interested her so much, that she dedicated all of her free time to learning, improving, and looking for her own style of felting wool.

Each of her works of art is a reflection of her rich imagination, great love, and diligence for this art form.
