CANVAS CANADA — Exhibit “i”: Call for Submissions

The Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA) in partnership with the Ukrainian Canadian Art Foundation (UCAF)/KUMF Gallery (Toronto) launch their first online fundraising auction with a twist, Canvas Canada – Exhibit “i”. We are pleased to announce anchoring the event will be Waddington’s Auctioneers and Appraisers.

To celebrate milestone anniversaries – the 35th for ACUA and the 45th for KUMF Gallery – Canvas Canada – Exhibit “i”, will feature the works of Ukrainian Canadian artists from across the country – ranging from paintings, drawings, photographs, ceramics, sculptures or textiles to graphic works, illustrations, and mock-ups — all exhibited anonymously. The identity of the artist appears on the back of each piece.

We would be honored to have your help to launch Canvas Canada – Exhibit “i” and invite you to join artists from across Canada and submit an original work of art on a 10 x 10 ” canvas. The canvas will be provided by the hosting organizations (ACUA & UCAF).

Art enthusiasts will be able to view and bid, relieved of the pressure of needing to know who the artists are, or they can take pleasure in the guessing game! The artist behind the work is only revealed after it is purchased.
