Linda Craddock
Biography
Linda graduated from the Alberta College of Art and received an MFA from the University of Calgary. Her visual art practice is informed by her heritage, in particular the series of work called, “Hometown Dreams.”
Notes
Linda is available for art exhibition opportunities and lecture/ presentation about her visual art practice — the autobiographical, sociological, and historical nature of the work.
Gail Demchuk
Biography
Gail has been creating art for most of her life, constantly experimenting with new methods and exploring various mediums. In more recent years, the focus has been on creating beautiful eggshell art for sale and display. Gail has been involved with ACUA (the Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts) for a number of years, having hosted workshops in both Edmonton and Calgary to teach others how to create their own etched eggs using her tools and techniques.

Dzherelo Children’s Theatre Studio
Biography
Dzerelo Children’s Theatre Group perform concerts and plays at various cultural events in Edmonton and surrounding communities. This group of 5 – 15 year olds enjoys promoting Ukrainian culture, literature and arts among youth.

Larysa Eliuk Matchak
Biography
Larysa Eliuk Matchak is a fine art painter specializing in acrylic and watercolor paintings. As an artist, Larysa describes herself as a “colorist” who uses bold color combinations and brush strokes to convey emotion. Larysa’s works have been featured in ACUA Vitae, “Nasha Doroha” magazine and she has been actively showing and selling her artwork at various art exhibits across Canada for over ten years. Larysa Eliuk Matchak has also created a variety of paintings for private sale and commissions.

Euphoria Band is a fusion of Ukrainian pop, rock, and traditional music from Ukraine along with English favorites and is creating a transformational sound in the Ukrainian-Canadian music scene.

Biography
Five on the Side is an Edmonton based corporate party band that performs a range of music including pop, rock and country.

Five on the Side currently performs at casinos, corporate parties and weddings. They have also played for city events such as New Year’s Eve at Churchill Square and Taste of Edmonton.
Paul Gagne
Biography
Paul writes pysanky in the traditional style and contemporary colours and styles.

Paul sells his pysanky at the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market before Easter as well as some Ukrainian Festivals. He demonstrates his work at all shows.

Namisha is a soprano soloist who also cantors in the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Namisha is available for other performances as well. She is trained in choral conducting.
Namisha is a licensed hair stylist and make-up artist. She specializes in making your special occasion memorable. Be sure to ask about her paper flower arrangements.

Theodora Harasymiw
Skyler Hoffos
Biography
Skyler is a lover of the old arts, woodworking, leather work and blacksmithing. His Ukrainian heritage is often a big influence in his paintings and music, and nature is almost always a part of Skylers photography. Skyler loves painting with oils, and loves doing nature and family photography.
Notes
Skyler sells prints of his paintings and will take commissions for blacksmithing and leatherwork pieces.
Skyler is available to demonstrate his arts and to teach courses.

Biography
My name is Kathleen, and I created Hoodoolab with my husband in order to organize, share and collaborate
with other artists and organizations. I’m originally from Edmonton, and a descendant from the Ukraine. I work
in several different types of media, and in the past few years I’ve been focusing strongly on folk art. Pysanky
is one of my favorite things to make, and I have a large collection I would like to share.

I’m currently living in Galicia, so I’m not available to come teach or demo at the moment. I often come
back to Edmonton every year, so I would like to be in touch about offering Pysanky classes. I sell my Pysanky,
and I can arrange to have it sent to ACUA to sell in the shop or for an exhibition
Dr Andrij Hornjatkevyc
Biography
A native of Ukraine, Andrij Hornjatkevyc studied the bandura with Volodymyr Yurkevych and Zinoviy Shtokalko in the USA. Later, while living in Canada, Hornjatkevyc edited and published the latter’s “A Kobzar Handbook” (in both English and Ukrainian), and “Kobza”, a collection of his musical scores. Hornjatkevyc has performed as a bandurist in Canada, USA, Ukraine and Germany; he has either taught the instrument or given lectures about it in those countries.
