Signature Artist Series Open Call

ACUA has an exciting opportunity for artists of Ukrainian heritage. We are looking for artists to submit applications for the Signature Artist Series monthly exhibits for September 2017 through May 2018. Applications must be received by April 30, 2017. Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts, in partnership with Art Gallery of Alberta, is presenting an exhibition celebrating 5 waves of Ukrainian immigration to Canada and the inspiration and influence that Ukrainian artists have had on the arts community in Alberta. The richness of Ukrainian-Canadian visual art is being represented by pieces from the collections of the Ukrainian Canadian Archives and Museum of Alberta, Ukrainian Museum of Canada - Alberta Branch, Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives, Basilian Fathers Museum, Ukrainian Catholic Women's League of Canada Museum, Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, Shevchenko Foundation, and Ukrainian Shumka Dancers.
